Re-establishing Self Connection & Self Trust

One of the deepest wounds that we all carry is that of having given up our inner authority and knowing in order to be accepted and valued by the outside world. We learned early on that safety, mattering and belonging required letting go of some aspects of who we were, what we knew, and what we wanted; to fit into the existing ideologies, standards, and the way of doing things determined by the larger collective. This understanding has become so internalized and unconscious that today we don’t even question our habit of self sacrificing or of giving more validity to external references versus listening to what is alive within us.

The intention of this 6 week series is to serve as a lab space to test out what happens when we bring our full selves  back online… when we honor, respect and cherish our unique way of being, and follow the yearnings of the heart. Seeing the stark contrast between what emerges and what we are currently experiencing nurtures the confidence to take risks to create change. And as these changes translate into a life that is more aligned with our values and wants, we get the evidence needed to trust our way as the most reliable way. We are able to move from the resignation of surviving to the joy of thriving.

Some of the themes that will be explored in this course are:

  • Experiencing what it feels like to inhabit ourselves fully and be in our sovereignty

  • Grieving the loss of self as an essential process of reclaiming our sense of self

  • Using self-empathy to meet our needs for mattering, being heard and seen

  • Reconnect to our inner guidance system by restoring the capacity to sense and feel

  • Recognizing transgressions and choosing self-connection over self-sacrifice

  • Creating safety by establishing healthy boundaries

  • Getting clarity on what matters and asking skillfully for what is wanted

  • Identifying and breaking relational contracts that no longer serve our well being

  • Prioritizing self care as a way to be of authentic service to others

It is my hope to facilitate a safe, encouraging space for you to regain full access to yourself, so that you can feel what it is like to have authorship over the life that you want. We will use a mindfulness approach and explore a set of prompts through solo and paired activities, journaling, guided meditations and group discussions.

This class is offered on a sliding scale of donation of $375 - $300.
